They all seem to be Officer pattern collar badge pairs in Silver/Gilt and Bronzed finishes that I would be happy to have in my colection. Have the Loyals pair had the their lugs cut off?

Got it thanks! - I just couldn't see the spikes - usually called "clutch pin fittings" and now on most current issue collar badges and shoulder titles as they do not require visible holes to be made in uniforms. However I would not have expected them on Loyals Officer's collar badges which would have been produced before 1970 when the Loyals merged into the Queen's Lancashire Regiment.
Has anyone researched when clutch pin fittings were introduced?

Was searching the forum for some info on the introduction period of clutch and pin fasteners - found this thread - does anyone know when they were introduced?

Thanks PB I was under the assumption these were a 1980s thing. Clearly not.
