the same seller sold one a couple of weeks ago... along with to be fair some pretty good scarce Para/ Commando /SF badges.
I've seen massive collections of Navy /RM Special Boat Squadron, Army Special Boat Service and even Boat Troop and C.O.P.P insignia and equipement and been lucky enough to have met some great swimmer canoeists from all eras and this badge wasn't ever seen in the photo's or momentoes or letterheads or insignia frames... It isn't a British Special Forces badge.
My guess is that the original owner of the collection of SF badges recently acquired and sold on Evilbay bought it as a maybe or what if years ago and now it's sold again as a what if...
Dont know what it is, what it stands for and it's pointless guessing but its not a rare British SBS badge.
One things for certain we'll see more of these poping out the woodwork (still hot!) when they see the price the last one made...
