Default 1st CanPara Lt. BD on auction.

Hello all. Just to have those interested in this subject (if you don't already know...) a 1st Canadian Parachute Corps wartime BD complete with the hard to come by yellow shoulder tapes and titles and Pegasus badges.
As the seller writes " The name of the vet will be given to the winning bidder at the end of the auction."
Looks like a good'un.

I guess he's waiting the end of the auction to see how much he will get for the BD and then, he will post the rest of the items one by one later on, like the beret, next his pay-book etc, etc, etc.

Default or...

It could be that he doesn't "own" the other items yet and is waiting for the BD to sell before he has the means to acquire the other stuff. This could also be why he doesn't want to reveal the vet's name in the auction as it could lead to the source...

I maintain that it defies logic not to use the provenance of an item (if legitimate) to secure a better price. Depending on who the Lt. was this could be a very historic and valuable item, or not.

In any case, it really is a shame to see groupings get split up.

Default Collection

The money speaks more than keeping the collection together.

The BD sold on 10/05/2010 for US$1,800.00 with only 9 bidders.
