I am very wary of all that white polish residue on the back. It's often done to give legitimacy to a badge.

Thanks Alan I would agree and tend to stay away from them. This one I’ve had for years and was in the not sure box. any Hussar experts out there who could finally confirm for me?

To me that really strong crimping mark is an indicator that it may well be a good one but I stand to be corrected.

Looks a good un to me too. Wasn’t the longer slider for the Brodrick cap?

Brodrick was worn 1903-06. This badge was after 1918.
