Default Camo back silk title

Looks as if this Jerry camo was added by the soldier himself to stiffen this Dutch made title.Seems practical given the flimsy nature of these titles and the heavy composition of German camo jackets and shelter quarters.....wonderful theatre made and modified piece..Love it!!!

Default Nice title

Thanks for the image. Nice title.
What it the story on the 3rd CID Beach Group patches? Very interesting. The ones I have seen are usually canvas anchors on canvas 3rd CID patches.
Looks like you have a spare one?

Hi Fearnaught
I could use a high resolution scan (300DPI) or photo of the 3CID Beach patch for the next edition of Distinguishing patches. If you are interested please contact me at clive@servicepub.com

Thnx,
Clive

Hi, meant to add the ages ago, maybe this badge is not so rare, certainly more than 10.

Default Woven title in wartime use!

I thought this photo might be of interest. NOTE! The Kangaroos were lousy photographers.

Of the 100's of photos I have collected of this regiment none really clearly show their insignia. This single photo is the closest photo I have showing the shoulder title in wartime use. This photo taken in May of 1945. Trooper Vic Norburn. The type of title is distinctly shown as the Silk woven or "BeVo" type (and very neatly trimmed and sewn on I might add!) Also note his shoulder is clearly "in focus" while his cap badge is not...
