Patching 6th Gurkha Rifles Uniform

I had dealings with RGR in Banka Luka 1999-2000.
One company were with 2 Para, wearing red berets, later another company were with 1 Royal Scots, wearing the dark green beret with tartan patch.
From what I remember these Companies were from 2 RGR, the Bn being split up to bolster understrength regiments.

The tartan patch was worn as a badge backing on the beret, the small Union Jack on the arm, I can't remember now on which arm or whether the Gurkha Paras wore the beret badge backing.
I'll check for any photos I may have though I think any I do have won't show much in the way of insignia, would be from a curry night and rather blurry and out of focus.............

I didn't know that, presumably they were based in another part of the entities or just weren't based in the Bank Luka area when I was.

Any pictures would be great help... Atm I'm just watching news report archives on YouTube, which cut off above the arm so I can't see any insignia at all really.

Yes, they did - I can't remember if the Coy with 2 Para did though.

Ok so I will be getting that tartan too! I found an old S2000 jacket in my cupboard with Union Jack on, so I will take that off and sew it onto the S95 uniform. I also bought some Lance Corporal RGR DPM rank slides, as the pair was £5. They seem quite rare in DPM so I'm glad I found them. I'll probably get the tartan and rifles green beret next Thursday. And then I'll need a TFR too 😅

Do you really want to take the Union Flag off another jacket?
It'd "mess" that jacket up and Id've thought the flag badges were very commonly available?
