That's very interesting, I remember someone showing me an example with the word "silver" on it's reverse, but, that badge was very different than an original Elkington made die cast badge.
Did these two badges, brass and silver types, actually come from similar dies?

I remember the silver ones were thinner and obviously the lugs were different, but beyond that, I can't really say.
