7th Battalion CEF / 1st BC Weird mounting "eye"
I just picked up a 1st British Columbia cap badge and found it has a strange mounting attachment on the back.
Instead of 2 posts or a slider, there is an "eye" or a short tube on it, a bit squished but I cant figure out what its designed for? No maker marks on the back.

Wonder if it could be for a bolo tie for someone in the regiment? That's what it reminds me of anyway.
