Unknown Shoulder Title, Canadian?
A friend sent me this photo to inquire if I knew which unit it belonged to. He thought it was Canadian so I looked through Charlton's, Mazeas and Cox with no results, I also perused Westlake with no obvious contenders. Any one have any thoughts?

The Central Polution Control Board of India employ uniformed security guards, a possibility? Or do you think the construction of the title means it's probably not Indian?

Always a possibility, I do not have a picture of the reverse but from the front the construction looks like similar badges made by W. Scully Montreal from WW1 through post WW2 period. This manufacturer also made uniform accoutrements for other than military and I believe other countries as well.

I don't think this is Indian let alone the Central Polluction Control Board. I'm from India and many of these agencies hire private conctractors for security. I'm quite certain they don't provide these kind of shoulder titles...

Other than 'Canada Post' for the first two letters, nothing leaps to mind and this is definitely not the right style letters for that.

Not South African.
Very typical Canadian s/t when I compare with Canadian titles I have of the WWII and post WWII period (ie. Letter font, width of letters, periods, colour of gm, etc.) Steven |
