Hmm, unusual cap badge if he is an Australian during the Great War. Same with brass buttons on the greatcoat.

No cap badge visible, that reflection is one of the goggles lenses.
I thought that though the first time I looked at it. Might be just propaganda of course and not Australian at all despite the text. Cheers, Roy

I made the same mistake first time I looked at it. Had to zoom in to check Still a fun period image and one I'm pleased to have, even if it does smack a little at propaganda, as I couldn't imagine this being an actually real tactic.. Cheerio, Roy
