Ah, I thought your ribbon was the RNLSGC white/blue/white, a closer look shows it has narrow blue edging (it's blue/white/blue/white/blue).

The RSPCA Margaret wheatley cross seems most likely after looking through the medal Yearbook.

Being born in 1930, despite the write up saying he was in WW2 he would not have been old enough to get the 4 WW2 medals.

So today we have some details.
His name was Alick Bertram Cushing Born may 1901 died 1970 I had a quick look on line about the medal, only about 70 awarded up to the present day, half of them after the people died trying to save an animal. If anyone has any info on service number, regt, medal card etc etc that would be great. |
