Default Liverpool Pals - Maker Marked!

Just thought I'd share this one (not for sale), the first Maker Marked OR's example I've ever seen of this particular badge.

Appears to be factory bronzed and a nice BP & Co makers mark.

Andy

It appears every now and again. The version with a slider was introduced - with a new Pattern number ! - in the summer of 1917. Although the first (looped) Pattern appears in B&P ledgers for 1916, there are regrettably no surviving B&P ledgers after that year !
Yes it looks as though it has it's original 'bronzing' though the rear casting is a bit rough.

Bodill Parker & Co.

Not being pedantic here, just adding the name so this thread and lovely Liverpool Pals badge appears when searched using the forums search engine.

For good measure he’s my unmarked GM badge.

Another nice marked one here but with a gilded finish https://www.britishbadgeforum.com/fo...ghlight=Bodill

I have listed the Lpl Pals badges here before somewhere.
Details in a letter from the Lpl Pals Adjutant, Elkington archives, War Office archives
