Hello guys,

What would your opinion be on these Fife & Forfar Yeomanry badges ?...are they WWII period or earlier ?...or restrikes/fakes ?

Thank you Gents.

No expert but I think the shield having a curved top is good as are flowers in the grass. I would think them likely both good. Regards, Paul.

Unfortunately original F&F Yeo dies have fallen into fakers hands. I have an original from WW2 that belonged to my grandfather in the 1940s and it's front is a perfect die match to known fakes.

I have this slidered example that at first I thought was a restrike due to the poor details. However, the slider is an old long tapered one with notch which is not typical of restrikes. I think it is probably good, albeit the die must have been rather worn.
Ignore the shiny appearance as I polished it up, it was quite dull.
