Fake Whitemetal Titles
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-Volunte...8AAOSw8Ntfy7xm
One of a large number of more convincing looking titles that will eventually turn up in a respected dealers' sites as they're a lot better than the brass ones. What I've done is make a j.peg list, not so much for picture comparison but more to keep a tab on what has been reproduced. In this case I went onto the seller's items for sale and filtered it down to TITLES WHITE METAL. Then you go up to the browser three little dots, up on the top right, then click on and go to print. In the print destination drop down box is the option SAVE AS PDF. Do this and you'll save the complete filtered ebay listings as a single document for future reference. It's not perfect, especially the text which goes completely haywire. Alternately for better resolution you can screen shot and save the individual item in PAINT but its a very slow and long winded method. |

We need to keep reporting these fake items on eBay. If we all keep doing it we will succeed in getting them removed. I have had a few items removed now.

Yes, the very same. The only reason I used whitemetal titles as an example is because they are something I do collect. Without a picture of the rears it's hard to know just how good they might be but the fronts are definitely a step up from the brass T titles that have been knocked out in the past.
Whether some of the ones listed actually existed is another matter, many VB's wore cloth. |

The sudden rush of these made my eyebrows go up. Duly warned.

The shoulder title that the link takes you to,in my opinion, looks quite tacky. I think any dealer with a good reputation, who took that title on as original, could do with a trip to Specsavers. The seller also has the condition as 'New' for this title.

Keith you can use something like ShareX to screenshot which is free, regularly updated and you don't have to go through Paint, PS etc. You can rename and put it wherever you like on your pc.

Keith, an easier way to copy the pictures without using Paint etc, hold the cursor over the small picture of the item, left click the mouse and a much larger picture arrives.
Place the cursor over this picture and right click and a small screen appears which gives you a few options. Select Save image as, left click and it will download and you can then name it as you wish. Regards. Brian |

among my regular ebay searches is metal shoulder titles which today is page after page of listings from this seller, he appears to be singlehandedly killing the collectors market for genuine titles same as his previous incarnation was said to be responsible for killing the MC market
