Default EFR

Eastern Frontier Rifles (Bengal Battalion). formed 1920 as a corps of military police kept as a reserve by the Bengal Government for aid to the civil power. The unit was commanded by Army Officers but under the orders of the Inspector- General of Police Bengal. Badges and buttons are normally blackened. Tim.
