Default Question re EBay Seller

Does anyone have any info good or bad with a dealer on EBAY - Milantique? If this is a forum member I mean no disrespect, but I see a few bits I am interested in which is why I am asking.

Thanks,

Terry

Terry,

Keep you money in your pocket!!!

Bob Tredwen has been in the militaria buisiness for more years than I can remember and runs http://www.militaryantiques.co.uk/.

His ebay site has all the latest ficticious and fake cloth badges that you could ever wish not to see.

If it looks like a bargain, - its NOT.

regards

Thanks Simon! I thought they looked a little suspicious which is why I asked. Too bad though as I'd have liked adding the ones that made me ask.

Default bob tredwen 2024

Hi,
I have received a direct e-mail with the following contents:

Hi,
I'm unable to speak over the phone due to serious throat pain caused by laryngitis. Please let me know once you receive this email. I need a quick favour from you.
Kind regards
Bob Tredwen

I am not sure how he obtained my email address. He did not contact me through the forum.
I am unsure if I should respond.
Can I have your opinions?
best regards,

I'd leave be, not reply to the email, certainly unless more information is forthcoming first.

It sounds very much like his email account has been hacked and the same message will have been sent to everyone in his address book.

Always delete such messages without reply

Best wishes

Too late!
I have already wired him $1000 as the release fee for the $10,000,000 he says I have inherited.

Funnily enough this exact same email also popped up on the Medal Forum t’other day. Out of interest, one of the members sent a reply and then received this totally convincing message back:

Thanks for the response, I need to get an (Apple gift card) for my niece who is diagnosed with stage 4 mesothelioma cancer, it's her birthday but I can't do this now because I'm currently out of town, And I tried purchasing it online but unfortunately, I got no luck on that, wondering if you could purchase at any nearest store around you? I'll reimburse you, let me know if you can handle this.

Await your earliest response

Best regards
Bob Tredwen

I’m off to the Apple Store in a mo. Might pick up those two gold bars I bought for a tenner on the way.

If those gold bars are a bit too heavy for you I have some magic beans for sale or trade.

The apple gift card fair enough, more than believable, but you've been ripped off for your gold bars....

Some time back I got a personal message from Ban Ki-Moon to say that I was entitled to a payout from a UN fund as I had been the victim of fraud...

They had me interested right up to the point where he signed it "best regards"...
