CC collar badge?
Hi
Can anyone confirm what regiment this collar badge is from? I think it may be the Cape Corps, but not sure. Thanks Barry |

I believe it to be a WW1 shoulder title that was probably worn in Palestine.

Firstly, apologies for the late response and opening an old thread. I have a small collection of Cape Corps insignia and have done a fair bit of research looking at old photographs and history of the corps. I am still to find a picture of this CC title been worn and all the pictures I have seen show the curved title CAPE over CORPS.
As a suggestion this title may well be the boer war sloach hat badge/title of a unit called Cape Cyclists. Maybe a look in that direction may answer your question. Regards Steven |

An update on this old thread.
I recently came into a large group photo of the Cape Corps band in Palestine c1917 and it appears the band members are wearing the shoulder title CC instead of the regular CAPE CORPS title. My assumption is that these may have been specifically made for the CC Band, and consequently hard to find. Regards Steven |
