RAF Digby AES Instructor
I picked this up badge up whilst attending an Ariel rigging course at RAF Digby circa 1992, this badge was worn by all the Ariel Erector school instructors and was a private purchase, the money going to AES troop/flight funds.
Subdued image of Stenigot radar tower, latin NE TE CONFIDUNDANT ILLEGITIMI and what appears at first glance to be Welsh/Welch Steve |

I've not seen this badge before.
When I worked at the Receiver site at Mount Pleasant it was co-located with the 'riggery'. In the portacabin that served as a joint bar there was a badge painted on the wall and I remember asking what the Welsh motto meant. |

I just did a quick translation of the Latin and loosely, it means "Don't confuse the bastards".
