Default RSM Robert Baxter 2nd Battalion Norfolk Regiment

Hi All,

Has anybody got any information on the above gentleman, please? Where The 2nd Battalion Norfolks saw action in WW1 especially would be interesting, and how during that time he went from The Norfolks to the Labour Corps.

I have found the information available for his medals and pension on Ancestry etc. They only show his rank as Cpl. later Sgt. finishing his army service in the Labour Corps.

Lived and Served in SA, Transvaal during the Boer War and later Malta and India.

He is the great grandfather of a friend and she is looking into his history. She has a Boer War medal with Transvaal clasp and his WW1 Victory and War medals. He left the army in 1912 and re-enlisted for WW1.

He has three service numbers.

Any help would be much appreciated.
