Default RGJ collars with unusual clips

Gents, on further reviewing & cataloguing my collection, I found these RGJ collars, with pin and clasp - however the clasp is a green plastic. The label appears to be 1980's looking.

Anyone seen or know anything about these unusual fastenings?

They were known as "dammits" and were a locking clutch pin fitting. Apparently they were 'short lived' as they frequently snapped , causing the owner to either prick themselves or the badges to get lost ..... hence the name !

Aha! Thanks Mike. That's why we don't see many of them then.
Interesting that the MOD clearly went with them for a while.

Regards all

Bess

Thanks Mike, I have no idea where these came from, but had them a while.
