Natal Hussars
Hi All
Another resent acquisition for my small but growing Natal Colony Colonial badge collection. The Natal Hussars were a forerunner of the present day Umvoti Mounted Rifles, an armour Regiment. Never a large unit numbers appear to be around 100 odd at any one time. It has been one of those badges that I have always been after but somehow never came my way until late last month. They only earned 40 Zulu War medals in 1879. Regards Brian |

You are very lucky to encounter one of those plates in South Africa these days.

They are actually helmet plates, although, rather small ones!
