We're digressing here and I apologise for being behind it but what got to me was the comment along the lines of completing a collection which makes it appear like badges were knocked out by the likes of Topps or Panini all to be neatly stuck in and put away for keeps. Complete a collection of what, even something like WW1 London? Bearing in mind the London Regiment is territorial, there are also TA Artillery, London RFA, City of London Engineers, TA Royal Engineers, RASC, RAMC all connected to London and I don't think any serious collector can ever say they have a collection of everything of even a theme, I certainly wouldn't.

The second pattern has the 'EXCEL' tablet below the crown; the scroll extends outward beyond the lower arm of the cross and says 'RANGERS' as opposed to 'THE RANGERS' (as seen on the third pattern). Also, the inner circlet has the words '12th London Regiment' rather than 'The King's Royal Rifle Corps'.

There is the matter of size difference too, but you have to be initiated into the Secret Society of Badgicians before that closely guarded piece of info can be divulged .

[Edit - whoops! Quite right Keith, apologies for the digression].

Thanks again to those who have made comment. Keith, my PC crashed with about 5 minutes to go but I managed to get back on to bid. You would have won it if you had been able to bid.
OK, couple of scans of my other badge- i'll try and post photos over the weekend.

I'll put my neck on the block and say at a glance that one's fine too. I'd like to see them side by side on a white background to be 100% sure though.

This badge does not look bad to me. Anything I am missing or is it getting passed by for other reasons? Regards, Paul. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/British-A...rdt=true&rt=nc
