Default Beaver on a log.

The encloses badge came in a job lot of Canadian military bits & pieces. I’ve googled it and Nothing but “Scouting” comes up but nothing shown like this. Any members care to take a guess as to what it might be?

Thanks for the link Mike. Appears to be associated with Ancient Order of Working Men. So googled them and find they were in USA and Canada. The identical Beaver on a Log minus the short sword seems to feature on some of the Order’s Medallions but no reference as to what the letters C.H.P. Stand for. Title or position in the lodge perhaps? Any other ideas from members? Regards, D.J.

Do they have a contact option on their web site? If so, contact them and ask. You could also ask them abut the sword version you have.

Hi Terry, I searched around, They don’t seem to have a web-site and I believe the organization in now defunct. The fact that the letters on the log cannot be traced to a meaning is very frustrating. There MUST be someone around who could tell us more? It will probably be tossed out when I’m gone without ever finding another custodian! Cheers, D.J.

Artynut, I'll share the picture with a Canadian fellow I know and see what he might know about it. If I do get anything I'll post it.

Thanks Mike....... Now I can sleep at night! So I guess with the suspended sword, it could be a position in the local lodge? I see you collect RBL poppy pins. Not to set you on a course of expanding your collection but if you PM me your snail mail address, I’ll send you something in that line, uniquely Canadian, Gratis! Best regards, David J.
