Hello Ron,
Dead Spartan has a similar, sold as a Perthshire rifle volunteers WBC.
Maybe the new 1st RVC or the 2nd RVC post 1880.
regards
Jean-Marie

It is a Scottish RVC generic WBC which does not have a specific unit identity, despite what it may say on a 'dealers' website.

Thanks guys, I was hoping for a Perthshire connection but I think you are correct Manchesters.
Ron.

Ron,

It has also been attributed to the 78th Lancs RVC which had a 'Manchester Scottish' Company, but I am far from convinced on that one.
