Australian or American?
This soldiers is wearing a miniature US 1st Cavalry patch on his slouch hat. Is he an Australian or American? If an Australian, is wearing US insignia common practice?

He is Australian.
Its common practice for Australians who are attached to US formations to wear US insignia and Australian insignia on their uniforms. Also Americans don't wear Australian slouch hats. Mick

I agree with Mick. An American would not wear a white under shirt. Look at the marine on the right.
