Mystery Soldiers
I have come across these 2 photos that have been kept in our family.
However I would appreciate any help to try and identify the cap badges. We're hoping that this might match the photos to names of people we have knowledge of in our family history who served in WW1. Thank in advance. |

buttons on these 2 pictures
The Lancashire Fusilier has general service buttons on his tunic.
The Coldstream Guards man does not seem to have general service buttons. They could be regimental buttons. Are all other ranks not supposed to have worn general service buttons from 1871 until after WWI? |

Foot Guards were one of the exceptions for other ranks buttons regarding the 1871 regulations.
