Really nice start! We are sharing same interest - ribbon bars.

Now, most of my international collection is unfortunately gone, when kids came and last ones circa year ago, when I gave up my job and started college. I had ca. 300 ribbon bars from imperial Germany, very early US bars, etc. Mainly I was focused to the bars from pre WW2 period.

(here is fraction of my previous collection)

Now, slowly building up British collection...

Here is today's find - one really nice standard "wide track" slider ribbon bar from early 20s to a British career Navy man, who saw service at least from 1908. He received Messina Earthquake medal in the end. Really nice, well deserved, "foreign" award to British service men (and many other nations who helped Italy after this disaster). Yes, these are still around to be picked up without breaking a bank! Can't say the same regards imperial Germany similar items - some of the rarest that I had went €500-700 range per piece, when I sold them few years ago.

Sorry because so late replay. What you have there is a 1957 period ribbon bar, using old "wide" construction. Usually these were mounted on the "thin" bar.
Nice front line combat veteran set, who saw some bitter times in Russia.

Also he had some kind of Austrian connection (wound badge is mounted on the Austrian ribbon). Perhaps that's explain as well different bar construction.

I take that opportunity and share one of my new finds here as well. A nice pin back ribbon bar from the Great War period with rare first type Victory Medal ribbon attached. Don't see these around very often .

How your bar tabs are looking if you check them closely - any scratches or damages?
