Default QC H G Oval pin

Hi, I'm brand new and have never done forums before so bear with me :o)

I have two matching of these and I don't know if they are cuff links or lapel pins. They have metal crescent securers at the back.

But that doesn't really matter as I would just like to know what HG stands for, Horse Guards, Home Guard?

Thanks, appreciate any info.

Welcome to the Forum canthony31.
Believe these are lapel pins for the Home Guard.
