Default Unknown African /Arab type badge made by Gaunt

Sadly I wasnt switched on this year when our very own Peter sold one through his web site and when Mr Shotton removed an example like this from his unidentified badge section.

Can anyone remember what this one is?

Thank you.

The KAR actually had a whole range of badges, including a signals section etc. A nice group to collect.

The war store (SA) has a KAR (3rd regiment) badge for sale for 100 USD. See pic.
Cheers,
Pieter

I like a cap badge with a story. I wonder if my badge was the one from this period?
