Default Rampant Lion Brooch and Pipes

ID help needed please. These may not even be military, but a rampant lion brooched (broken) badge that is similar to the lion on the 7th Dragoon Guards capbadge. Any connection? Pipes in brass and normal lug fixing (one missing). Pipers badge of some sort maybe? No maker marks on either. Regards - John

The white metal lion appears to be very similar to the Canadian Essex Scottish sporran badge prior to their amalgamation with the Kent Regiment.
The brass pipes are a pipers sleeve insignia.

Found the following reference in the 'Other Militaria' forum. See item 7. Could the lion have connections to the London Scottish? Ladies brooch maybe?
