A few more from the group. RSM sleeve pieces. Of a more contemporary time period. These have always confused me a bit, if they are Regiment attributable by the color and backing material. The larger of the two has some wire embroidery embellishments and glass eyes. Real works of art in my opinion.

Jack,

They are attributable by their size to the Brigade of Guards, the only Regiments to wear the large Coat of Arms.

The backing colour relates to the No. of Dress, ie No.1 etc.

Unfortunately the huge amount of Far East made copies has made these QC versions worth peanuts and hard to sell, although yours do look like issue items.

regards

Thanks Simon, both of these have remnants from being worn so I am assuming original.

Jack,

The old style Buglers badge, quite hard to find but have a few colour variations,

The pipers badges, are they old?

Simon, Cannot say with any certainty their age, other than they look older.

Its hard with these pipers type badges because there are just so many 'Scottish' civilian bands around the world who all seem to want to wear them and always have.

Could be military, especially the larger one, as they copied the military badges but not convinced on the first.
