Audaces Juvo means "help the brave" and is the motto of the Buchanan society,so i would suggest that it could be a clan button connected to Clan Buchanan

Might I suggest that your button is, in fact, a livery button of the Buchanan family - worn by liveried servants on their uniforms. Regards. David
