Default "SC" collar badges...

I had five of these in two very similar varieties.

I can only find 4 now!

Anyhow... they have two lugs on back.

They mesure : 21 mm x 17 mm

Found them in Canada... but there were "Bahamas" or some other island/territory stuff near them in the showcase?

Any clues?

Default SC collar badges

Hi - They look very like Special Constabulary general issue collar badges and if they are chromed or polished white metal then that is probably what they are. They are pre 1953, of course. Regards. David

Default SC collar badges

Hello again - The general issue Special Constabulary cap badge is a circle with crown above. In the centre of the circle (like your collars) the letters SC. There are also many individual localised Special Constabulary badges with the name of the County or City on the circle. Regards. David

The Honourable Artillery Company's Special Constabulary Section wore a smallish (ie not the smallest) s/t(HAC) below this "SC" with KC, as two separate pieces in chrome. Was there ever a "QC" version? See Westlake fig 1476, which is the one I have, rather than 1478 in the book.

RevDougal refers to "Collecting metal shoulder titles" by R.A. Westlake, Frederick Warne Publishers 1980, ISBN 072322675X.
