East Africa and Uganda Protectorate 1914
Gents,
I've had this badge for awhile now and am wondering if anyone has any information about it (when worn, military or police) as I couldn't see it mentioned in the excellent British Colonial Badges Vol 1 and 2? Appreciate any help. Paul |

Looks like an ASC within the circle. Army Service Corps related? Some East Africa collectors should be able to explain...

Looks like a sweetheart/souvenir piece, made from an ASC cap badge and a local coin.

Gents,
Thanks for all the replies and excellent investigative work. Indeed it looks like an sweetheart/souvenir piece. I'm amazed at the perfect melding of a coin and the ASC badge. Something unusual that I'm pleased to identify. Thanks again Paul |
