Default Unidentified Button - 69th Regiment?

Hi All,

Please could you help me identify this button and possible time period. Makers mark is "Smith & Wright".

I would like to research the regiments activity in the Natal colony and specifically in the farmland area where I live. There seems to have been a lot of activity here as I find a lot of Victorian-era buttons and other artefacts.

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

-Terry
