Antique firearms and eBay
Hi all
I notice that eBay does not list antique firearms, even ones that have been rendered unusable. In Norway there is no restriction on import of antique firearms, as long as they are considered non functioning. I am interested in obtaining some WW1 era revolvers for part of a display, but the prices for a period Webley revolver over here are preposterous. Is there any shop or dealer whom members can recommend for this sort of thing? Thanks Colin

Some deac weapons have been badly butchered and a real mess, you need to have a look and be happy with anything you're going to buy or you may be disappointed.

Ebay has a ban on lots of items but not on every country, some items not available on EbayUk can be found on EBay.com.
Below are a few UK dealers of dead weapons, not sure if you can post them internationally though http://www.rytonarms.co.uk/shop.php http://www.battleflagmilitaria.co.uk Lee |

I've considered owning deactivated weapons before too but the prices I've seen are ridiculous even for weapons which there are lots of, like the FN Fal or SLR. I think it's just another gravy train people have jumped on because I can well remember going to a gunsmiths in Hereford when I was still serving and finding weapons at very reasonable prices, like an SMLE of r£70.
