What Cavalry/Yeomanry Regiment?
What Cavalry/Yeomanry Regiment is he from?
This is a young Captain in 1904 on annual camp with the P.A.O. Leicestershire Imperial Yeomanry. He has seen service in South Africa and also has another medal ribbon next to it.

Middlesex Yeomanry possibly. The officer badge differed from the ORs star badge and the collars look right as well.

Griff,
I'd say Middlesex Yeo, Cap Badge looks like Wilkinson (Cav & Yeo 1914) 155 less base scroll? Andy |

I would agree with Middlesex. I was lucky enough to buy a large collection of postcards that once belonged to the RQMS from this period right up until 1915 and I can confirm the badges are identical.

Gents ..... here is another
What Cavalry/Yeo Regiment?
Photo taken in Leicestershire in 1939 with "A" Squadron Leicestershire Prince Albert's Own Yeomanry (Still Hussars). Also notice the "Sam Browne belts" that all Sgt ranks are wearing.... without the cross strap.

Hi Griff,
With all your expertise here, couldn't you have done the Colonel's right breast button up for him, scruffy, we would have been called.......... Dave. |

Griff,
I've tried colouring some of my images too, but the Crayons don't want to stick to my screen! Andy |
