Royal Westminster Volunteers RWV button
Can anyone date this RWV button? I can't find much reference to the Royal Westminster Volunteers after about 1805. I suspect the button is circa 1859-1880, but can find no reference to the unit being in existence during that period.
The Royal Westminster Volunteers existed around 1800, and I suspect some link with the later 13th Middlesex Volunteer Rifle Corps (the Queen's Westminsters). Ian Kelly Ian@KellyBadge.co.uk www.KellyBadges.co.uk/buttons
