Default Hello Everyone

I have just found this very interesting forum whilst looking for tartan patches info on google.
I make military headgear for 1/6th scale ( 12" ) figures, so as far as I'm concerned, the information in this forum will be very useful to me.
I've just struck gold

Hi Anthony,
Sorry for the late, very late reply. As I mentioned,
I make head gear for the 1/6th scale modelling community and this in my website - www.banjomansberets.com

Apart from the head gear, my brother and I are now making scratch build 1/6th scale military and Police figures. It is a brand new website and have only done a few R.U.C., B Special, and Royal Irish Constabulary Auxilliary figures. These are the figures that we specialise in but are hoping to expand into military No.1 uniforms and Royal Marines etc...The website is www.checkpoint-figures.com

I have done a few Military figures, if anyone is interested I can send some pics.
Best regards.

Hi Howard,

Thanks for posting the pictures - WOW! Very interesting approach to the study of badges and uniforms.

I personally have never seen anything like this before - must take ye some time to put each figure together!

Thanks for sharing, really appreciated!

....and I forgot to say I've checked out both the websites - and to say that I've got as much talent as a dead gnat!

Stunning work!

Thanks Anthony,
It takes roughly about a week to complete a figure and that's with the two of us working at it.
I myself make the uniform, caps, body armour and other bits and bobs, my brother does all the leather work. All the holsters, belts, Sam Browns, bandoliers and straps are all cut from real leather.

Thanks again for the kind words,
Regards,
