Fantasy/Fake badges
Bought a lot of cap badges, most of which are fakes, some good, but at about 10p each worth the chance.
These three I think are fake. The Royal Regiment?? A fantasy badge? Extra large Grenadier Gds. Fake or foreign? Blackened brass Devon's. Looks like a gloss paint finish so assume fake, although lugs look good. Any help/comments appreciated before they go in the naughty box. Cheers John

No replies so have added a few more photos.
Is the Devon's blackened badge good, should it have a slider. The lugs look fine to me. Is the large flaming grenade badge G Gds, R A, foreign? Assume the Royal Regiment Badge is a complete fantasy/ fake effort. Thanks John

The Devons is a genuine collar badge. Perhaps a make do replacement for an OSD collar? Who knows...

The large grenade badge is not a cap badge ( grenade ) of the Grenadier Guards, however if it had 4 lugs or a hook it may have been a cape fastening.

The Royal Regiment is part of the title of the Royal Scots, who were originally titled The Royal Regiment of Foot. So possibly something to do with them.
