WW2 Canadian Parachute Wing Type 6 on E-bay
Hello,
I Have been studying this wing and believe it's an excellent reproduction. Sadly, I can't put my finger on where I've seen that type of construction before but if one looks at Ken Joyce's book you'll see it doesn't look right? I must add that I believe the seller in all honesty believes it to be an original. http://www.ebay.com/itm/WWII-Canadia...item3f207fceaf I can't seem to post the link, but if you cut and paste the above link it should work! Thoughts? Paul |

Paul, The vendor ran that wing by me, and in my opinion it looks okay.

Hi Bill,
That's good to hear. It's just something nagging me about the wings, but it could be old age! Interested to hear what others think as Type 6 wings are rarely seen. Thanks Paul |

Hello Paul, There are a lot of phoney Type 6 badges being offered, but the construction of this one is consistent with authentic T 6 examples.

For what it's worth, Ken Joyce mentioned on another forum that he believes the wings to be suspicious. It's somewhat amusing to me that the seller of the badge in question is using Ken's book as a reference considering Ken's opinion of the badge.

Yes I've seen Ken's reply on the other forum.
Bill, however, has handled the wing which makes a big difference when determining a good badge from a bad. At the end of the day each collector has to happy with what they're buying and make their own decisions. |
