Doing family research and found my Grandfathers WW1 records, he served KRRC . 2nd Bn & 16th Service Bn ( Church Lads Brigade). My question and looking around i am confused, did they wear KRRC badge or and I have seen, a similar badge with CLB in the center. Help please.

I should just go and buy a good old KRRC cap badge if I were you, assuming it's cap badges you want, are his papers still extant.

The 16th Bn wore the normal KRRC badge.

The CLB version was worn by the cadets post 1917 but not by the battalion itself,

Thanks for replies. Not after just badge, but info on him. His records were destroyed apart from medals due which shows he served in 2nd Battalion KRRC and 16th Service Battalion (Church Lads Brigade). I'm trying to find out where he went first. Many thanks.

Send me his name and army number and I will have a look. If he was a CLB member and joined the battalion he would have had a C/ number, ie C/657. If he was in the 2nd Bn first then he would not have a C/ number. It may be that he was wounded, and when recovered was posted elsewhere...16th KRRC.
