Boonie badge
It appears that these boonie badges are worth more than $1 now.

Wow. Just, wow. The prices realized do not make any sense. If one attends a few shows, these are fairly easy to find. All of them were the system issue pattern, circa 1990.

So what do Combat Cap badges sell for then?

One to the Irish Regiment of Canada was sold in January of this year. It ended at $34.99 USD. 9 bids from 3 bidders... No, I was not one of them.

US$34.00 is a lot of money to pay for a Tri-service cornflake, even in combat. I hope the buyer didn't really think it was a PAFO badge. |

Bill, I have to disagree with you regarding picking these up after going to a few shows - that seller happens to have had a number of pieces that I have been looking for, for quite some time, and I have been to many shows! Wish I I could have afforded to buy them all from him, would be much closer to finishing that collection. If anyone happens to have some of these gathering dust, do let me know!

Hi Sean, Combat badges were all over the market a few years ago, but they were the 1990's system issue. I guess they are drying up now. The hardest to find are the regimentally procured patterns. They are very difficult to find.

First boonie combat badge
I believe this is the very first pattern of combat badge produced, late WW2 kings crown RCAF Construction & Maintenance Units. I believe these are starch back.
I would think this would have been worn on a winter hat? http://www.ebay.ca/itm/321333526707?...707%26_rdc%3D1 |

I'm looking for the combat cap badges to the RWestmrR, the CIL (CIC) Army, and the RC Army Cadets. Every alledgedly CIL/CIC (Army) combat badge has the crossed cutlasses (curved) instead of the crossed crusader swords (straight).

Does anyone have an image of the badge with the crusader swords? I haven't seen one.

Do we have enough images (as well as permission from the photographers) to set up a gallery of these?
