Leicestershire Tiger w/ lugs
Hello All,
A nicely detailed strike, with lugs and five sweat holes. Victorian type?

In my opinion a nice victorian/edwardian era badge !
Interesting, i have an early lugged badge which seems to come from the same die, regarding the details of grass and fur. But without sweatholes ? Regards Markus |

That’s interesting, Markus. They do appear to be from the same die. Although, on your example the spot in between the rear leg and tail is voided, whereas on mine it isn’t. The sweat holes... that’s a classic the chicken or the egg scenario.

Close examination will show that they are not from the same die, mostly apparent in the fur markings of the Tiger. Two nice old examples though.
