Default German Badge “Luftwaffe Anti-Aircraft”

Am sure there are Forum members to whom WW2 German Militaria is within their collecting sphere and I would like to run by them a badge which isn’t mine and I (what a laugh!) have been asked to it’s authenticity?

I steer clear of German as I have no idea on it and am put off by the vast amount of Fakes! if it comes my way though and like it, I just consider it as such!

Can’t do that with this and put in a spot!

Badge is a heavy Luftwaffe Ant-Aircraft Gun, rear securing pin broken with a maker’s mark “J H. JUNCKER” over “BERLIKSY” looks to be Silver and well made, as I can’t show pictures will need to Email them to someone?

Many thanks Billy

Found an example made By C.E. Juncker , Berlin :

A 'Google' (Luftwaffe Anti-Aircraft Gun badge Juncker Berlin) brings up dozens of examples.

“DUH!” didn’t think to google it! thanks Mike and knowing what to look for I can see that it is in fact “(cannot make out 1st letter) “E” would fit and bottom is “BERLIN SW”

The pin assembly is the same as is the catch (if this had one still) pity it didn’t show the final price?

Cheers Mike

Hello Billy,

not the real expert, but i have some experience with german WW2 combat awards.
There are two aa-badges, one for the army (with a "sitting" eagle) and one for the airforce (flying eagle, with spread wings), both were made and marked by CE Juncker Berlin.
Feel free to send me some pics .......

Regards
Markus

Found a bit of information :

Quote:
Juncker Heer Flak Badge

Historical Description: On the 18th of July 1941, the Heer Flak Badge was institiuted by the OKW. It was intended to award personnel of Army and Waffen-SS units for the downing of enemy aircraft. Like the Luftwaffe version, its awarding was based upon a point system.

This "Flakkampfabzeichen der Luftwaffe" => anti-aicraft combat badge airforce was in my collection some years before. Made also by Juncker, but unmarked.
Beside the design of eagle, gun and wreath the "barrel"-type hinge and the round wire catch are typical for pieces made by Juncker.

Markus
