Default Ontario Reform Institutions

Don't know anything about these institutions. Reform schools I thought were for youths, but they would have been rather scary places if guards were walking around looking like soldiers. The uniform has loops for a belt and holes are evident on the collar. Tag inside says "James Brothers."

Hello DDev. The reform institutions were provincial institutions (vs federal prisons). They were staffed by uniformed guards.

The guy who sewed the shoulder title on appears to have been under the influence at the time, judging by his hack handed attempt at centring it on the sleeve!

Dave.

Haha, had to check. Both arms have the same "centring."
