Any chance good or scrap

Hi All,

can anyone tell me if any of these has a chance ? 3 of the 4 have had brass lugs...not a problem, as I paid the huge sum of £4.50 each ! Just need some advice before I think about possible repairs or if bad, just as gap fillers.

All fakes in my opinion. Dont spend anymore money on them.

Many thanks Simon, pretty much as expected. Do fakers often go to lengths of using brass lugs ? These will do for display till good ones come along, but I do have a good 34th glengarry and will use it to compare to this one.

Yes they do indeed.

I find these types of badges the most difficult of all. The vast majority one sees appear to be fake/restrikes and are often very old ones which make it harder yet.
The color or tone of the metal on those posted are also a give away. Originals tend to be different.

Brass loops are well known on glengarry fakes nowadays and becoming ever more common sadly.

no major damage done. As I mentioned, the 4 were very cheap. i thought cheap because of damage, so took a punt. Purchased from laidlaws auction. First purchase from an auction and pleasantly suprised - reasonable postage cost and zero fees !
