GPO film unit, transferred to Ministry of information just after the start of WW2. Films have a crown within a circle with crown film unit wording around the crown, GPO film unit underneath.

Got this Kelvinside OTC right at the tail end of 2020, but unfortunately not beaten in 2021.

I have been very blessed with several high list items, from medical unit patches to nursing items, to a signed copy of "White Ship + Red Cross" but the pride of my collection still remains the two RAMC/Medic brassards worn in Bosnia with a picture and signature!

Additionally, the kindness and generosity of the members of this forum. I am extrmely grateful and thnakful to everyone here!

Terry

Default Best Buy of 2021

Good evening gents,

I think my "Best Buy" of 2021 was this plated KOSB badge.

It's marked "P" and "Gaunt London" in the legs of the Cross of St. Andrew on the back.

Marinus

My best items arn't rare or expensive. A lovely G Parachute Battery Mercer's troop Plaque, slightly different from my others and a nice RHA parade buckle. Granted not worn very often in 7th!

Not a badge but my best buy was 3 portraits drawn by my grandfather (a member of the Hong Kong Police) during WW2 when he was an internee in Stanley Camp in Hong Kong.

My favourite purchase would be this medal group purchased in January 2021 (including the recipient's beret, some insignia and paperwork) attributed to Lieut. H. I. H. Grant, 25th Dragoons - one of only three ‘Mentioned in Despatches’ awarded to a 25D officer for their actions in Burma.

Best badge would be a locally cast RAChD cap badge, but my favourite from the past year would be a 1944 made oak pyx that I have been after for years.
