Default QRH TRF?

Is the TRF with the cipher on it something to do with the Queen's Royal Hussars?

I've already managed to identify the others.

Thanks Mike. I thought it might have been in Robin Hodges' book, but it didn't appear to be there. Mystery solved!

David
HQ Squadron
A Squadron (The Devil's Children)
B (Balaklava) Squadron (reformed as a command and reconnaissance squadron in October 2020, previously an armoured squadron)
C (Duke of Edinburgh) Squadron
D Squadron (The Black Pig)

That begs the question...do any of the other QRH squadrons have their own TRF?

Mick

THE QUEEN’S ROYAL HUSSARS (The Queen’s Own and Royal Irish)

The Duke of Edinburgh Squadron Badge.

A round cornered version of the standard embroidered Tactical Recognition Flash with the addition of HRH The Duke of Edinburgh’s Crest in the centre.

Worn on the right sleeve by all members of the Squadron that wins the Duke of Edinburgh’s Military Skills competition.

Circa 2012-2013, winners being year 1 ‘A’ Squadron, year 2 ‘C’ Squadron and year 3 Headquarters Squadron.
