Fantastic items gents. Despite some of these daft prices what always amazes me is that a Silver Rifle Volunteer Battalion can only be worth as little as 45 pounds, yet a huge corps such as the TC (no doubt due to popularity) can make 150 pounds for just just a nickel example!

I have an Omani swagger stick somewhere, along with a few others, including a rather darling HAC silver topped monogrammed cane, never paid more than 50 for one. (Except my one with the dagger in :-) ).

Please dont tell me its a modern QE2 cane or one of those dodgy ones thats a hybrid indian sword stick with a genuine WW1 end. I might just shoot myself

Nope, about 1920's and it is just silver with a nice engraved monogram and badge. :-)

Some pictures of my best Kings Regt "swagger stick", it is about 3 foot long and has a hall marked head with engraved badge and think is perhaps a Senior NCO`s item,but any thoughts appreciated

Yeah thats the type I collect, it's a Sgt's stick, officers ones are generally smaller and more wippy.....

Looks like a nice NCO cane. I dont have one with a badge that been chased into the top, very nice item mate. Most probably worth about 120 pounds.

A tip with these is to look at the top and the bottom of the cane. The bottom of an original cane should always be darker than the top and will exhibit more wear. It is not uncommon for people unite old tops with new canes and I have known a few people get caught out like that.

Seams to exhbit some nice dings to the top.........."eyes to the front lad"!

Here is one that I've had for the last 35 years.My father kept it when I left home and attacked it with silver cleaner.He has just repatriated to me.
